October 2022 Flood Event

Please be aware that due to the flood event from October 2022, a number of roads and bridges in and around Murrindindi Shire are currently closed or have been impacted.

Parks & Forests

A number of National Parks, State Forests and Reserves within Murrindindi Shire have restrictions in place for camping or visiting. For latest information please see:

Yea Wetlands

The John Cummins Reserve picnic area at the Yea Wetlands is now open. Unfortunately, due to significant flood damage, the walking trails and the wider Yea Wetlands will remain closed until further notice whilst repairs are underway. Please do not enter the closed sections of the Wetlands. The Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre is open 7 days, 10am-4pm.
